Voyage 3 out of 3 had been bliss...
...I thought God had finally heard my prayers; but the towering and terrifying seas returned with a vengeance!
Still, I wouldn’t change any of it for the world, getting through those awful days made me appreciate the fierceness and power of nature out here, in the middle of this vast ocean. I also remind myself that if I’m scared onboard this strong, solid, modern steal ship - imagine how the early explorers felt in their old wooden sailing ships, quite a different story. Our Captain said to me “it used to be steel men in wooden boats, now we have steal boats with wooden men”.

To Antarctica from Hobart (AUS) and Bluff (NZ), I visited:

Sub-Antarctic Continent: Macquarie Island ("Macca"), Enderby (Auckland Islands)

I know it’d make me jealous if I was at home…but I can’t help myself… can you believe I went skiing on the icebergs in between shifts one afternoon?! I literally had to dodge the penguins (not the trees), no lie!
I’ve had an incomparable experience – I know I will never ever forget being here. How could I? Especially, with the famous McIntyres onboard as part of our expedition team. I’ll forever be in awe and amazement of this journey; I'm well aware of how lucky am!

I'm going to miss everything about this place - the icebergs, the beauty, the penguins and seals, the journey here and back. Maybe one day I'll come back!
