We caught a taxi from Potosi to Sucre. As we shared it with two other girls it worked out the same price as the bus and was quicker (2.5 hours) and much more comfortable.

Sucre is the constitutional capital of Bolivia. A really nice looking city with beautiful buildings and nice parks.

As it was valentines day we decided to treat ourselves to a 4 star hotel for a couple of nights (only 10GBP each a night). The Hotel was called Hotel Su Merced. It was a beautifully converted colonial building. The hotel also had lovely terraces on the top with fantastic views of the city. I had my first long soak in the tub since we left the UK - lovely!

The first night we decided to sample some Bolivian cuisine. Ben had pique macho and I had a spicy chicken dish. Both very nice although the portions were far too large! Then had a couple of Bolivian beers.

Up for a fantastic breakfast the next day. The spread of cakes and fruit was unbelievable. Certainly wouldn´t need lunch after that! We then went for a walk around a couple of the parks and climbed the mini Eiffel tower. Another nice meal that night and some more Bolivian wine and beers in some of the nice bars in the city.
