Next day we were up early. It was a bloody freezing night and it took us a while to thaw out! We then hit the road, filled up the van with supplies and went to Australia Zoo!!

CRIKEY MATE! We saw the main show which included tigers, birds of prey and crocs, it was amazing and the animals all seemed so well cared for. We spent the rest of the day wandering around the zoo, visiting the kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devils, the most deadliest snakes in the world, tigers, cheetahs and elephants. It was a fun day and we took full advantage of the cheesy photo opportunities and chucked a "Crikey mate" into conversation wherever possible!

We rounded the day off with a picnic in the car park and got in a couple of hours driving before pulling over at a rest stop for the night (after getting pretty lost and driving around the same town 3 times!) – parking directly under the "strictly no camping" sign – what rebels!

Having been so cold the night before, we decided to have a go at the art of ‘layering’. Jenn, particularly, has become a master at this, going to bed in a bizarre combination of pjs, flight socks (with the trousers tucked in), 3 tops, a coat and a beanie hat!! It’s a look but I’m not sure it’s going to catch on!
