After leaving Bogor in the morning, we drove straight to Bandung via the Puncak Pass. This area is very popular with the people of Jakarta. A lot of them flie from the city to spend their weekends here.
In Bandung you can still find a lot of colonial history from the time the Dutch ruled Indonesia. Unfortunately this was much spoiled by a raised highway right above the colonial boulevards.

In the afternoon we went to the local Aungklung School. This is a project to give the poorest kids of the city a chance to learn music by means of the Aungklung, an instrument that is really easy to play and rather cheap to manufacture. The kids gave a really good show, and at the end of the show the audience was invited to join.
In the evening we had dinner at the Savoy Homann Hotel. Much more expensive than the local restaurants, but the food was good, and you do not eat in an Art Deco style hotel everyday.
