So I decide to take a trip to the Hawaii of Vietnam, Phu Quoc Island, for a bit of R&R.  I spend 3 days lounging in the sun and reading.  What more can you really ask for.  Sprinkle in a few motorbike treks in the mountains and hills, and you have yourself a vacation within a vacation.

The island seems to be on the verge of experiencing a tourism bomb.  They plan to build an international airport within the next couple years, and there is construction all along the beach.

There was an English couple I spent a bit of my time on the island with, essentially listening to stories, comparing cultures.  One of the workers kept trying to hook me up with her daughter, which made my time a bit weird, since she seemed to be following me around.  The language barrier really affects the pimpin.
