Alrighty - So now I'm based back in Vancouver.
After the Moose trip I found myself in dire needs of some sort of income so have sadly walked my way back into the work force. Within two days of been back I was working...Impressive. I'm currently doing reception work temping - theres alot of work available so its not to difficult to find!
If only I had a talent for cooking...
Have managed to ticky tour around a little bit more discovering new things constantly.

Went out to a Lacrosse game a few weeks ago. Was the most insane sport I've ever seen played in my life - I absolutley loved it. Was really really crazy to watch people just been able to run around and whack each other - even when they don't have the ball!
It was game 3 in the finals (they play 7 all up) and it was the Coquitlam Adanucks vs...that other team.... but we were really lucky as since its the off season at the moment, all the pros come back an play for there suburbs and club teams so it was actually really like a professional game. The game itself would take so much skill and even though its only 5 aside (maybe 6..?) they have a crazy amount of players in each team and they are just subbing constantly. Its a really really speedy game and so hard to keep up with everything - also HUGE amounts of scraps. So yea! That was a really good night!!

Then the other weekend I went out to North Vancouver as I haven't been out to any of that area... actually hadn't even been on the Seabus until then (which is a knifty little invention!!). Was planning on going up Grouse Mountain but it was quite overcast that morning so the view wouldn't have been to fantastic - it did fine up in the afternooon which was a bit of a bummer though.
So instead I went out to the Lynn Canyon Park & Suspension Bridge. Capilano has a way better suspension bridge...but it also costs $25 to go on and its extremly touristy and Lynn Canyon is free so I took the cheap option!! There were still heaps of people around but it was a really nice area with lots of walks and tracks around. Looked around the Bridge area and walked along (freaked out some asians but doing a bit of a bounce!) and then walked along to the Twin Falls and some lakes. As I said above, the afternoon cleared up which made for quite a schorcher of a day... not helped by my decision to walk back into the city of Nth Vancouver rather than waiting around catching a bus as it took a good hour and a half to get back into town in the hot hot sun..

Before I caught the seabus back to downtown I checked out the Markets which were really awesome, some cool shops and some good fresh food all over the place...if only I had a talent for cooking... hmmm
*3 Weeks Later*
So been the lucky duck I am, I have managed to find myself a cosy little apartment 2 blocks from the waterfront and 2 blocks from Stanley Park... a bit of a score! I've recently moved into a one bedroom place with another girl - I have the room, she lives in the lounge so theres no place to really hang out but its a cruisy little pad and niether of us are either really there so no complaints!

The only reason I really moved out of the hostel was to save some money - as this new place has cheaper rent and is complelty fully furnished and in a great location - something you just can't say no to!
I'm still doing temping work, and also promotional work on the side which is great fun. Its for Granville Entertainment Group which owns 2 clubs and 1 Irish Pub so really - I'm getting paid to party and socialise...perfect.
The other weekend we managed to get out to Capilano Suspension Bridge which was great. Above I mentioned how it usually cost $25 which is why I never went before hand - however a friend found out about this fundraising walk which costs $3 and you hike down from the top of Capilano down past the dam following the riverside down till eventually you make it right down to the waterfront. On the way down though, if you did the walk - they gave you free access to the Suspension Bridge which was awesome! Oppourtunity we couldn't pass up so a group of about 7 of us went out an checked it out. Was a really good day, and the Bridge was HUGE (although...in my opinion...not really worth $25) and there was gift shops and food and it was a really nice area to chill out in for lunch.

After that hike, we got back and found out about a block party so we showered up and went down to Gastown to check it out. They had closed off the street and put some ramps up for the skaters, had a dj playing and a couple of stalls over the place. Was pretty cool so we hung out there for a bit then walked a bit of the waterfront till we found MEGA PITCHERS!! A little bar/resturaunt on the waterfront did $22 Megapitcheres on game days which is 11 pints of beer...you can say that we were fairly happy with that deal so we definatly made ourselves comfortable!!

Starting to try plan for the winter now as the weather has managed to drastically turn from summer to winter in the space of the week and vancouver has now become raincouver. However its still rather warm so I'm trying to keep the complaining to a minimum.
Can't wait for Thanksgiving this weekend and when the AB's take on the Aussies in the Semis... some big days/nights ahead!
