For many Brazilians the South is considered to be very different from the rest of the country...some even go as far as saying that it should actually be its own country! Sure it´s different, but not THAT different!!! Ok, you don´t have to fear for your life while crossing the street, there is definitely a more European look to the people and the architecture, it is much colder here; but the Brazilian in the people is still very strong! It is not a bad thing at all, but I guess you have to travel through Brazil for a while to understand that last part.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Curitiba, but in the excitement of getting to Foz de Iguaçu, we prematurely ejected ourselves out of here!!! We found that we stayed too short of a time to appreciate all of what this city has to offer. Due to the main attractions being spread far apart it is a little more time consuming to get around using the bus. So with our minds focused on getting to some waterfalls we took an 11 hour bus ride and left an amazing city little explored.

Sure it´s different, but not THAT different!!!
