A perfectly lovely day, but hot. Got a good start this morning before the other bikers at the church even woke up. They must be on a schedule where they only ride in the hottest parts of the day. The AT trained me well. I had lunch at a cafe in Marion that was decked out with antique decorations. At the library where you’d normally see just push and pull stickers on the doors, theirs said 'PULL for conservation' and 'PUSH for conservation.' Awesome. After passing through a small Amish community, my westward road hit the Ohio River and I waited for the ferry to take me to Illinois. At Cave In Rock State Park there’s a cave in the rock! Crazy that. Some historic things happened here about Davy Crocket and river boat pirates and a movie with Jimmy Stewart. The cave is cool.

I'm staying in a shelter as there might be rain. Did I actually cross the length of Kentucky in 10 days?
