Today we took the bus to Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. Normally busy anyway, it was even more so today because it was some kind of holiday for the Christians here, which supposedly you can't celebrate unless you're Mauritian and a virgin...  Anyway, we got some free tasty deep fried food out of it. We walked around the markets and the stores, and we bought some more pirated DVDs (sorry people, but they're only a dollar).

When we got tired of the hustle and bustle, noise and icky air, we decided to go somewhere else. The initial idea was to climb a nearby 'mountain' to get some good views of the surroundings, but we were all too full of greasy food and polluted air. We decided instead to visit Pomplemousses, the home of a gorgeous (not to mention free) botanical garden. There are many pictures of it here, as well as some of the bus ride to Port Louis, and you can be sure that for every one I put there are three more I didn't. I went a little overboard with the camera. Oh well. :) Enjoy!
