Hania is so beautiful but I'll add more details after we've hiked the Samarian Gorge tomorrow! So Hania was full of winding streets and amazing little shops, Dominique is sick with the flu so we did not get up to too much wandering, but the Samarian Gorge was AMAZING our last day.
The first part of the hike reminded me of BC or Alberta hiking through the woods down a mountain on a winding trail, after about 2 and a half hours you reach the bottom where you start following the river. Then it gets really cool cause there are huge cliffs on either side just going up and up and up, wild flowers were in full bloom all over and it was such a great hike. The Iron Gates are the part where the cliffs are only 3 meters apart and seem to go up forever, then you end at a beach and wait for the ferry to take you back to the busses to town.

Sadly this great hike was followed by a night ferry to Athens...... Athens was great staying at the Backpackers where we have officially befriended Kosta whos family owns it (he met us on Ios too). He bought a puppy the day we arrived and I was official puppy sitter. He was only 3 weeks old!! I said way to young to be away from his mom, but apparently that is how it is done in Athens. The pup was a mini golden lab. Basically white and the cutest thing I have ever seen. I fell madly in love and it was SO hard to leave him (Laki was his name) to go to Corfu.
