I don't wanna sound like a broken record, but I have to say this about Prague...this city is so, so beautiful!!! Since we only had one day in Prague (we arrived the night before from a 2 hr flight from London), we woke up very early in the morning to take advantage of the free breakfast and beat the crowd. It was only a 15 minute walk from our hotel to our first destination of the day, Charles Bridge. There were not many people in the morning, so that was a plus for us. We took pictures at every angle of the bridge, and rubbed the base of the golden statue so that we could come again, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It helped that our little toddler was fast asleep, so that we could take our time and walk onwards to the Hradcany Castle. It was an uphill task, but we managed. It was a pleasant surprise also that we weren't the only crazy couple pushing a stroller up the cobbled streets to the castle. THere were plenty of others!

We took many pictures inside the castle as well, especially of the St Vitus Cathedral.

A walking tour of Prague

By lunchtime, we decided to move on, worrying that our daughter may wake up soon and start wailing. So we walked back down the hill. Surprisingly, it wasn't that far a journey back to Charles Bridge. We had lunch at McD's, and then continued on foot to the old town square. We waited for the famous astronomical clock to chime 2 o'clock..and when it did, a little skeleton jingled a bell and 4 apostles came out. After more pictures, we visited the Jewish Quarter (out of curiosity) and Wenceslas Square.

We couldn't leave Prague without some authentic Bohemia Crystal, so we went shopping in the evening and bought a few for us and family back home.

For me, I think the day was a great experience, everything that you need to see can be reachable by foot, food are cheap and you can take scenic postcard pictures anywhere in the heart of Prague. We will definitely be back.
