Hallmark of town planning, this beautiful, magnificent city was planned by French architect Le Corbusier around 1950. This place is famous for its green spaces, which preserve the original vegetation of the region. Several varieties of flowering trees and mango trees have also been planted all over the city. The Sukhna Lake is also a protected area where migratory birds from central Asia come to nest in winter.

In city, there are many places to see like Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Sukhna Lake. While nearby places are like Pinjore Garden (Panchkula) and Timber Trail (Parwanoo).
