In the morning, we arrive at the huge glacier -- 60m high, 3km wide and 16km long. Sometimes you can hear the cracking of the ice and see the waves it creates (normally it's too late to see the ice falling into the water after hearing the sound) The blue-hued glacier is really pretty.

After taking lots of photos, I sit down to relax while facing the glacier. I am like facing a creature that talks. But I know who I really talk to is its creator.

It's windy and cold here. A small restaurant here serves soups. It's nice to have hot and delicious soups in such environment.

In the afternoon, we get onboard the cruise that takes us to a close distance of the glacier.

We get back to El Calafate downtown at around 5:30pm. A staff of Aerolineas Argentina says we can wait until we arrive at the airport from Puerto Natales on Apr 13 instead of paying for the tickets (from El Calafate to Buenos Aires) of business class now. Normally we have to do it today as we are leaving to Chile tomorrow morning, and it's much more expensive to pay for the tickets outside Argentina. There is normally a deadline for reserved seats -- probably a day before. By the time we come back into Argentina from Chile, it will be Apr 13 -- the day we fly. We will get to the aiport at around 2:00pm while the flight will depart at 4:40pm. Now, we can wait for a few more days for the release of held seats of economic class. The staff ensures we will get at least business class and puts a remark into their computer system -- the passenger will pay in the aiport, please do not cancel the reservation. The reservation, however, puts us into a difficult situation later.

Everything seems going well. We are sure we have enough time to go to the most Chilean national park -- Torres del Paine and then back with flight from El Calafate to Buenos Aires. Wai Wai has to arrive at Buenos Aires on time to catch his flight from BA to NY.
