Panda Bears :)
From Move to China in Chengdu, China on Oct 10 '06
We had a great time relaxing in Chengdu and grabbing some much needed Western Food (Pizza and Tacos). There is a large University there and we walked around the campus and then grabbed a few drinks at the local college bars where they play 80's sorft rock.
The next day we headed to the Gian Panda Conservation Center to check out the Pandas during feeding time. They were so adorable and in China they actually feed the animals where the public can see and take pictures up close. We also saw some Red Pandas, which actually look more like racoons, but are equally as cute. There was also a place where they held the newborns in incubators and they were so precious looking, but no pictures allowed...to preserve the history.
After lunch at a Sechuan place where Derek and Neal tried some Baijou we headed to the train station. Since Neal decided to head to Tibet, we are now on our own for the remainder of our Journey through China.
