Got here after 2 days of solid travelling from La Ceiba (caribbean coast of Honduras to pacific coast of Nicaragua). I had to sped a night in a village called Danli on Sunday night before continuing on Monday morning on my way here.

Honduras, for me pretty much sucked from the time I got to La Ceiba. I was caught in the storm and had to stay indoors for 3 days. Then I decided not to go to the Bay Islands as I decided to visit Cuba with the money I was going to spend in doing the scuba diving course. Instead I decided to go to a place called Sambo Creek to do an adventure in the mountains (horseback riding, jungle canopy tours and then relax in hot springs) but the hot springs were too cold due to the recent rains, and so I had to leave there too. Didn't end up doing anything vaguely interesting since seeing the ruins at Copan. In all, Honduras is the worst country I have visited on this tour (and maybe ever). Not only because of what happened, but also because the people were not as friendly as the neighboring countries, and the beggars were extremely annoying!!! So I am glad I am here now. The weather is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum though.....too hot!! But its far better than rain. Leon is an old colonial city and is very beautiful. Its also good since I have seen and met many tourists here, and there's much more happening, which makes a change.I visited some cathedrals and walked around town to some view points from where you can see the 10 volcanoes that surround this city and 15 cathedrals......so that was quite a sight. Also went out clubbing on Wed night (9th) which was good as there was a big group of us. The hostel I am staying at is very vibrant and busy all the time so I have also been spending alot of time sitting and talking to the many interesting people I meet, for hours on end. Next stop is probably Granada.
