Deepak has dicovered his accelerator to our delight..although not that of a roaming dog!!

We arrived after a 6 hour drive from Jaipur at our hotel, Newtons Manor - Really lovely place serving great Indian food.

First stop, the local market. The overwhelming smells of the scents and spicesA were amazing and the hundreds of colourful saris on display were beautiful.A This would be a recommendation for anyoneA visiting here as we were far less hasseled by beggers (than in previous cities).

To finsh of our day we had a lovely homecooked indianA meal (customized to English tastebudds) this also gave us the perfect opportuity to meet the other guests and swap tales.

Today (our 2nd day) we have seen the sights of Jodhpur (there are few, but all worth a visit)

First stop, the Umaid Bhawan Palace, really grand place took 3000 people and 15 years to build.A

Next we were taken to MeherangarhA Fort, this is one place you can  look like a full on tourist and get away with it, we were given audio guides (included in the price) so we could wander at our leisure. Really worth a visit if you are in the area as the view of old Jodhpur's blue buildings are amazing.

Next was Jaswant Thada, ony a brief stop here was required as this was the memorial site to a king (and family). Very peaceful (and very very hot by this time!!)

Last Stop, Umaid Gardens, you'd never believe that areas like this existed if you didn't venture out of Delhi, beatiful relaxing gardens with monkeys running around (and yes we got the pictures :D).

We were finished by midday giving us enough time to chill.

Hooray, all in all a fairly cheap day, hopefully the first of many!!
