Our big adventure into the jungle begins... with a tummy ache.  Followed by an extremely high fever, muscle aches, and a visit to the 24 hour clinic.  That's right, Jenny got sick.

We went through all the effort.  We took a 10 hour jungle train to Jerantut, the nearest city to Taman Negara (lit: national park).  From there we took a bus to a town where we could catch a 3 hour boat up the river to the entrance of the famed national park, the oldest rain forest in the world.  We were thrilled to try the canopy walk, and to trek around for hours avoiding leaches and mosquitoes.  Unfortunately it didn't happen.  We spent 2 days sleeping in our room in front of the fan before finally admitting defeat and returning to the city of Jerantut to visit their general hospital.  They found out that nothing was really terribly wrong, and then gave us 6 different kinds of prescription medicine (for free! what health care!) - one for each of the symptoms that I mentioned to the doctor.

Oh, well, we've had enough of this roughing it.  Next we're bound for Kuala Lumpur, which will hopefully fulfill our urban longings.
