it was very dirty and the people are obviously very poor, but everything is very cheap such as transport ( tuk-tuk only £1 anywhere in lahore), hotels (£10 per night), cricket tickets (£5 for 5 days), food ( meal for 4 in a top restaurant (£20 with drinks), beer (only one place so £1.50 a pint).

The peole are the big attraction because i was a little worried before i went when you hear on tv all about terrorists in pakistan BUT everywhere i went i was treated by the people like a celebrity, they were fantastic.

if you ever go to lahore you must visit the old town, the old fort and the Mosque, which can hold up to one million people praying at one time.

Try and take in a day at the cricket because the pakistanis turn out in their thousands to watch a practice match.

Go to the border closing ceromony at the border gate with India only about 30 miles from lahore its Fantastic, its like a football crowd with 5000 Pakistanis on one side and 8000 indians on the other both cheering their gaurds on.
