Trusting the alarm on your ipod to wake you up at 9am the morning after almost 30 hours of internation travel isn´t a great idea.  It makes the chances of waking up to the sounds of housekeeping carts clanging down the hotel halls at 12:30pm a much more likely event.

But you know what, I needed the sleep.  And it allowed me to knock out Seville´s Big 3 Tourist Spots in about 5 hours, without caffeine or uppers to boot!

No bulls or matadors were harmed in the writing of this blog post.
Perhaps the best photo I took on this trip. The gardens of The Reales Alcazares.

Seville´s Cathedral & Giralda Tower, the Reales Alcazares and the Bullring.  -No bulls or matadors were harmed in the writing of this blog post.-  With only a riverside stop for a Fanta keeping me fueled until 6:30pm, I used my awesome Spanish One Lesson skills to order patatas bravas and jamon sorrano in a side street tapas bar.

Oh!  And everyone says that you have to watch a bull fight in Seville.  Now, I only had one day, but I managed to knock it out.  I know, I was surprised by my vacation productivity too!  But, I should mention, the bullfight was on TV, and I watched it in my hotel room before passing out for half an hour.  Those matadors really try to brush the tip of their pants front against the bull´s nose.  I mean, one sword at a time fellas.  That´s not a place to get gored.

That's one well manicured bull fighting arena. They must have just used the sand zamboni machine.

After touring my barrio for a good 2 hours the night before, I easily navigated my way through the calles and had a sidewalk dinner and a quick cerveza before crashing out.
