Oh my, the waterfalls! I took the interesting "scenic" route through Oregon City to Silverton, but got a bit lost and ended up in Molalla! You can only imagine the excitement.
I finally made it to Silver Falls State Park, which has been touristicized to the max. There is a lodge/snack bar and about a zillion picnic tables. My favorite exibit was a log cabin with a very informative plaque which read "log cabin". No more information, move along to the waterfalls please.

So North and South Falls were both nifty as hell. Walking behind waterfalls has to be one of the coolest things on earth. There were all sorts of caves and cranies to explore, oh and erosion chimneys. Don't want to forget the erosion chimneys!
The Trail of 10 Falls is 9.8 miles. I cheated and cut through at Winter Falls, so my hike was about 7 miles. The ridge trail back to the parking lot (1.6 miles) parallels the road. If I were to go it again I'd try to figure out a car shuttle at North and South falls. That back stretch is where the hikin's at!
