I booked myself onto a FREE day-trip bus round Auckland. An I must say it was worth the money!

First stop of the day was Victoria market, which is an old market just outside the city centre.  It was nice but it's nasty visiting shopping centres when you've got no money to spend in them!!!

We then headed over to the Marina where we were given a talk about the dolphins and whales around area, and of course someone attempted to flog us a trip to see them (why else would the day trip be free!?), but after blowing them off we got back on the bus and headed out of the city a bit, upto a place where a treaty was signed between the Maoris and the whites. I forgoten the name of it, buts held in very high esteem by the Kiwis. The commentry from the tour guide was very interesting (and pretty funny) and the views were really good.

We then headed up one of the extinct volcano (of which there are loads around auckland), where again the scenery was really cool.

Then to the Pub for lunch....Mmmmmm, but expensive...errrrrr!

After lunch we just headed over to Auckland bridge to do the brigde walk (which usually cost $45 but we got it free!), and watch so bungy jumpers!

So we got all hooked up with harnesses and walked along the underside of the bridge which was cool, and once again offered brilliant views of the city.

After a couple of hours watching people fling themselves off the bridge we were dropped back in town, where I went for a quick pint with a Scouser, Ray, I met on the bus, then I back to the hostel, via Dominos!

Being the first effort I'd put into anything for a few days I was knackered, so I just chilled at the hostel, and got an early night.

Good cheap day!
