Escape From Ulswater

After being dropped off in Penrith we made our way to Carlisle for the night. We had saved a bit of money so we splurged on a more up class B&B. It was good to be away from the Ulswater Hotel – I hoped to never see that poisonous, old fart again.

Carlisle itself is a nice town, it has a castle and even some Roman ruins. This being close to the Roman frontier. We had visited various times before on our days off so we had become familiar with the place. It was soon time to leave though.
