Today I got up and ran six miles. I felt well enough when I woke up because my sinus was cleared and my lungs felt good. It was a decent run, but slower than I’d like. It was also chilly, which I was not prepared for.
Of course I had to do my part and enlighten him on the advantage of having an Apple
I came back, showered and we broke camp and headed for Multnomah Falls. This is a massive waterfall in Multnomah, Oregon. You can see it from the highway. It’s within the Cascades. They have a visitor center and restaurant and sweet gift shop, just loaded with stuff you could never find anywhere else such as: a gold coin with Multnomah Falls pressed into it, a replica model truck carrying a load of cut timber, and a wooden pocketknife keychain with my name potentially carved into it (while supplies last). The falls were impressive though. The second highest waterfall in the nation. We took some photos at the base of it then walked the switch backed trail 620 ft (189 meters) to the top of the waterfall. I took some photos, hiked down, grabbed a cup of coffee and hit the road. We had to be back for Meredith’s young adult leader meeting for her church. It was a barbeque, so we all ate our fill and the meeting began. During the dinner we called and sang happy birthday to our mom for today is her birthday. It wasn’t really boring or anything, and I even put in my two cents when one of the leaders started bragging about his new computer and how fast it was, and that it was the latest Dell you could buy. Of course I had to do my part and enlighten him on the advantage of having an Apple. After the meeting was over, I came back and went to bed. And so the sun rose and the sun set, the end of the third day.
