Megeve, by way of London and Paris....

Oh my, finally a chance to relax a little! I am in a little internet cafe in Megeve, trying to plunk this out on a French keyboard - its very different, and I keep messing things up. We spent one night in London after many hours on planes and in airports, and hustled off in the morning to take the Eurostar Chunnel to Paris. One night in a little hotel not far fro, Notre Dame and we were off again, taking three trains and a bus and finally walking up the hill to our hotel here in Megeve. The town is very tourist oriented, even now in the off-season, and there are souvenier shops all over, interspersed with ski and hiking stores, and a few quaint bakeries and chocolate shops. I found a little store that sells embroidery nessecites and such, and got some beautiful yarns which I have been making a pair of matching scarves with. Mom is determined to get me out of the hotel room, even though I feel exhausted and complain that it is vacation time, I should get to relax. Anyway, there is more e-mail to check and I need to go for now... bientot!!!
