Don't be decieved by the name...Maiden Castle has absolutly nothing to do with castles. It is, in fact, a hill fort...and supposedly the biggest in Europe.

Saying that, I have never been as miserable on our trip to Maiden Castle as I have ever been in my life.

Don't be decieved by the name...

The wind was blowing so hard it was pushing me. It hailed several times, snowed a little, and the entire site was cover in mud...and sheep dung. It was FREEZING, there wasn't anywhere to sit, and we had to write an essay.

Wind.

Mud.

Essay.

Sheep dug.

And, dead sheep....

Not my cup of tea, but I hear it is brilliant!
