Back on familiar ground
From Around the World in 365 days in Wisconsin, United States on Jun 09 '06
We bounced around quite a bit during our time in the US this summer getting visas. For simplicity, we are just posting one entry for each city or area even if we were there multiple times...
We spent several weeks in Wisconsin with my family. Part of the time we were in a town called Platteville (Home of the world's largest letter "M". - Not a joke!") and the rest of the time we were close to Mosinee. We had a great time water-skiing, kayaking, 4-wheeling, reading, sleeping, clay-pigeon shooting, and playing poker!
I have to give a special thank you to my parents, sister, and brother-in-law who all had to endure having us around more than usual. I'm really a lucky guy when it comes to family! I also have to include Guy and Sally in the thanks. I don't know how many people are truly "good" but both of you are. Thanks everyone!
