On our way to Lisbon we decided to visit a small town called Obidos. This village was originally given as a wedding gift and reminded us heaps of the Greek islands. The town itself is situated on top of a hill and is surrounded by some magnificent fortification walls. Inside the walls there are white houses, white churches and white cobblestone winging streets - you really need sunnies here). The town must be really popular with weddings because for the short time we were there we saw 2 weddings. One had an elaborate horse and carriage entrance by the bride which gained her a few onlookers (to her dismay we're sure). We spent our time wandering the pretty streets and climbing the impressive (yet slightly dangerous) city walls. Outside the walls there is a nice walk through a park and you can observe some deer prancing about. Before we headed to Lisbon we had a relaxing beer and coffee in a cafe and then said goodbye to this beautiful place.
