Stop being so obvious!

I have landed safely in Quito, Ecuador!!  The city is very big and surrounded by mountains.  It is very beautiful, but inside the city it smells like car exhast constantly!  There are so many buildings, like any big city, but there are also just little children abandoned on the side of the road trying to sell goods to survive.  It is very sad.  Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon.  Our hotel, Hotel Quito, is very nice.  We are staying in the rich part of town.  Anywhere else, our guides told us to watch our bags and that people will go as far as to slash the straps of your backpack to steal your stuff!  Our guide also told us to stop being so obvious because we are clearly gringos(white people) and are perceived as rich.  Im like ok, haha how am I supposed to change my skin color?  We will have our first orientation tonight, and then after four or five more days, we will leave for Cuenca to meet our families and go to school!  I am so exicted.  It is so cool being in such a different place.  Well, I better get going, we have an orientation to get to!  Hasta luego.
