Decided to have a few days out of UB so went on a 2 day / 1 night trip to the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. There were four of us in total – myself , Tyler (Canadian guy travelling home having worked in Korea teaching), Iain (English) and Cezare who both lived and worked in London but have jumped ship indefinitely.

Terelj was nice but not a patch on the things I'd seen on my long tour with the Danes – I'd been so spoilt! There's a giant rock here that's famous because it looks like a turtle. We however could not find it, but our ger was right at the base of what I have now christened "Cock Rock". See if you can guess why from the photos. Soon it will be more famous than Turtle Rock.

Went horse riding again (still not bare back sadly) but this time my horse was f**king CRAZY!  I think he must have been quite young and wasn't really used to having a rider, or a bit in his mouth for that matter. All he wanted to do was run and any slight noise from me that sounded like "chk chk" and he was off. As we approached home, Tyler suggested we have a race to the finish. I laughed and said "that's pointless – my horse will obviously win. Everytime I say chk chk and..." That was it – straight into a full blown gallop, and no amount of screaming or tugging on the reins could stop him. I almost wet myself.
