Apparently, Geoff has the figure of a Bavarian woman!

On our way from Prague, Czech Republic, to Interlaken, Switzerland, we decided to spend the night in Stuttgart, Germany.  On the train, we met a German conductor who decided to educate Ryan in the art of becoming a "Bavarian Man."  Ryan asked Shelley for a sip of water and the conductor says, "No, don't drink water, drink beer.  A Bavarian man drinks beer!  Look, (pats his beer gut) this is how a Bavarian man looks. Not skinny like him (points to me).  He's skinny like Bavarian woman."  Needless to say, we had a good laugh when he left.  And no, Ryan will not be starting to drink beer any time soon.

We were only in Stuttgart long enough to find our hotel.  Apparently, in Germany "close to the train station" really means, "Take the subway from the train station to the very last stop.  Then get off and walk for 15 minutes!"  But we had a great dinner.  The receptionist at the hotel pointed us to a local restaurant where none of the other customers were speaking English, they served great schnitzel, and the waitress/owner kept feeding Ryan noodles every time she tried to clear his plate.  We liked her so much, we went back into the restaurant to take her picture with Ryan.

Next stop: Interlaken, Switzerland.  We can't wait!
