Zurich

Well I didn't even managed to make it out of Switzerland today. I just missed the overnight train that went to Prague, which fucking sucked (as those jocks would say)!

It was getting pretty late, and my train was leaving at about five teh next morning. No hostels would have been taking in that late, and there was no way I was paying for a hotel. So I decided to sleep in the station after having a bit of a walk around and a visit to the lake, although it was raining. Quite nice really, as it was the first rain I'd come across for a few weeks.

Bad night!

Sleeping at the station was all going really well, as the waiting room was a quiet refuge and felt safe. But, got kicked out at 1:00 am, when the station closed. It was raining outside, so stopped in a bus shelter. Met a German guy called Simon, who was in the same position as me, so we just talked for a few hours until they reopened the station at 4:00 am. It was a strange night of watching mentals and drunks, also a bit scary in parts.

Once we were allowed back into the station it was quiet and I got a few hours sleep before my train.

It was an experience, but never again if I can help it. Lukily, it was only Zurich, I'm sure there are far worse stations around Europe.
