Horse Riding in Wales

Now applying the new bullet pointing my European (and UK) adventures the following took place on our horse riding adventure weekend in Wales.

Friday 6^th July

I spent about ½ hour trying on helmets bc they were all too big (HAHA to all those who say I have a big head :op LMAO)

• It took 5 hours to get there by tour bus
• We were welcomed by a candle-lit midnight meal of pizza and drinks, courtesy of Tony our host and 5star chef

Saturday 7^th July

• We had to get up early the next morning for a day of horse riding
• I spent about ½ hour trying on helmets bc they were all too big (HAHA to all those who say I have a big head :op LMAO)
• I was given ‘Griff’ to ride, the slowest horse (as per my request) and boy was he slow and stubborn!!
• After getting off to a slow and weary star (my first time horse riding) I was actually able to take in the beautiful scenery. Yes I did say beautiful – its not something that I usually say about grass and trees but it truly was ‘breathtaking (literally) and I was loving the tranquility and fresh air.
• We rode, and rode for about 5 hours through the Brecon Beacons countryside
• Dad u would be soo proud - I had to pee in a bush!!! Eww!
• Caroline’s horse rolled in the poo paddock when we got back and took her with it. Caroline being the animal lover she is took it all in her stride
• We soothed our sore behinds in the hot-tub
• Dinner was DELICIOUS!!! Green Thai curry and backed Alaska *drools*

Sunday 8^th July

• Slept in until9.30
• Jumped straight in the hot tub
• At a HUGE GORMET breakfast, followed by the leftover baked Alaska (I am such an oink!)
• Visited the local craft store and bought a ‘sheep poo postcard’ for Nan
• Said goodbye to Tony and is 2 dogs
• Headed home
