Karin, Janet and I spent Sunday taking the hop on hop off bus around the sites of Lyon.  It is an easy way to see where things are without walking your feet off.  You can get off and do more detail then catch another one.

We started off before the bus with one of the best omelets I have had served by a young woman in a classic little black dress.  In Lyon women wear what would be considered evening wear and fancy evening wear at that to work or bike or go to the grocery.  Always chic.

Speaking of bikes this town has the greatest public service.  There are bikes positioned around the town that anyone can buy a ticket for and use then leave at any other site around town where the bikes are found.  So public friendly and that is how this whole town has felt.

When we left the bus we encountered a street art fair that knocked all our socks off.  We all three agreed it was the best art fair we have ever seen.

The day was lovely but I darkened it for myself by trying to do some internet biz.  The ladies went off exploring and I spent hours in conflict with my card and trying to buy a ticket to Morocco.  No go.

I took a break and spent a cloudburst in the Musee des Beaux Arts.  The museum had all the requisite artists of different periods.  Only a very few were fine but the building was spectacular especially the sculpture room with a cathedral ceiling.

We had our final dinner together in an alley of charming bistros or bouchons as they are known here.  I spent 21 euro for a two course meal with wine and dessert.  The next morning bright and early Karin left and I laid about for a bit then decided to try and figure a plan for the future.
