day 7- moday- we did King Solomons cave, which was nice but ... it wasnt as bit or as good (well lit) as the other cave. but I liked it- it was small (had some really narrow passesages) and I liked the history that they had about it. two guys had found it (their dog feel thru the sink hole. they had let peole come in thru a rope ladder and they had torches about the place (that stained the calacium) and they allowed people to look down another sink hole thats a good 32 feet deep. then someone dug a tunnel thru to the largest chaber- cool that someone would go thru 4 years of digging for that.

next we drove 14km on a dirt rd to devil gullet lookout- Id heard alot about it and I thought the view would be awesome- I liked it but I didnt love it and therefore Id almost say that it wasnt worth it. but it was a nice veiw. and as our drive progressed there were tons of nice views and I really liked it. then we arrived at cradle mt- checked it (expensive at 33$ a bed a night- but we ended up with no other guests so that was really nice) and we drove over to the info center. the weather was perfect it was a great view of the mt and It was beautiful. there a free bus in the park and its very handy- its nice too that you dont have all these cars trying to pass you on a small rd and that you can do one way hikes and the bus comes/goes every 10-20 min so your not waiting that long ever.

we did three small 20min borad walk hikes around the place and then took a bus ride to the end and back. then went in for dinner. there we meet ridergo a chile guy who is working with the tassie uni to do tassie devil reaserch. he takes two volunteers with him and he does like 6-8 things a year so I thought what better way to get close to a devil but to do that. I think Ill check into it.

we both got sick- it said not to drink the water and I think that we tok forgranted that the kettle was boiled and we drank it. oh well live and learn.

tue day 8- up decently early and to catch the bus to our planned hike (by rodergo) we headed up Hansons peak wich Id like to get hight and distance for you but I gues thats not really necessary. but the hike was hard-ish and steepish but fun. M had a bit of trouble and therefore I wasnt pushed and I felt really happy about the hike cause I was really relaxed. they had chains at one point that we could hang onto which was kind of exciting..  It was really awesome to be able to look back and down and up and see where wed come from where we were going and the lakes and ... it was beautiful. from there we went around the face of cradle mt and were at the base of the summit when M said she didnt want to do it- it was really windy and cold.... and I really would have liked to but I was complaining cause I know/knew Id be back.  but I will admit I was jeal of all the people I swa with large packs cause I knew where they were going. we went around to creator lake where the dove lake disapeared and it was nice but not as exciting or as pretty as hansons. creator lake was cool but you couldnt see what I wanted to see and ... yeah.... but my excitment at creator was that I saw a guy watching a E and THAT was really cool. thoes things  can move and I watched/ floowed him for quite a bit. I totally made my day. from there we hiked down, M went to find good light and her trees and I went bavk up following creator falls. which was basicly a small rapidsbut I loved it anyways. I was looking at mariums lookout- was only supposed to take my 25min to climb but homefully you can tell from the pictures Im not too excited about it- Ill most likely be taking it to start my overlander track. went down thru platpus pool (and someone had scrathed off the l on the end of the word pool you make a joke of it... I thought it was good) then hiked down stopped at the info center for more pictures of Knyet falls which I would have loved to take a swim under but .... didn't. Not exauseted but very content about what I had accomplished. M waw a bit sick when she came back but had gotten her tres that she wanted so was happy- we had to look for our food cause the dumb under down under tour group had rearranged everything and then the next day our food bag was gone. not to much in it but the principle of the idea really kind of sucked (and M had to go with out her breakfast)

happy v day day 9 of 9 our last day -tear- driving all day today.

was a good nice and sunny day and we left driving thru queenstown to see the devistation that was there. It was really- I didnt expect it at all. queenstown is a  mining town anmd they r quite pround of that fact the poor mts look like they have been torn to shreads and killed- it looks really ugly from what we just came thru. 4 billion $ of gold, silver and copper came out of there. hit lake st clair next which was plesently busy. there was no brezze and it was nice to see the clam lake but that allowed the horseflys to annoy us. and they did. which broke our lunch break short. from here to new nthfolk was a windey road well everything was but here so even more-0 maybe just strees ful driving all day.  we did see one loging truck that had lost its load over side ways- scary. hings changed pretty fast and then we hit the city. and it was very apparent that it was more city life.

Hobart- internet, subway supper, chatted with lady from launceston- who was "slumming" it and trying to feel young again. thought that was cute. the bed- TERRIBLE night with snoring lady- up at 5 to drive M to flight for6am and ... yeah thgats the end of that. on to finding a job..... thats always fun.
