There is no going back now, 'but really,' I say to myself, 'why would you!' It's Monday the 29th January 2007 and I am almost at the edge of that safe flat ledge of normal life. I'm just wondering what it will feel like if I look down before I leap into my adventure. I guess I'll see crystal clear waters and gushing waterfalls and realise I've made the best decision of my life.

Packing away all the things that have surrounded me in my safe cocoon and getting on a plane is very scary, but also so bloody liberating. I already feel like a nomad and I haven't left the UK yet! Armed with a packet of jelly sweets on the end of a hook, I hope to attract some buddies on the plane and begin the fun. What will it be like? Who knows. In no time at all I will be able to answer myself that very question.
