Punta Arenas and Penguins!

After leaving Pucon, I caught the bus to Puerto Montt (don´t ever go there!) and then a flight to Punta Arenas.  Its getting pretty much as far South down the Chile mainland as you can go.  There isn´t a great deal to see or do and its fairly wild and windy.

I visted a place called Puerto Hambre, where a load of ambitious Europeans tried to settle and ended up starving to death...Puerto Hambre means Port Hunger. And  you can see why, the place is on the edge of cliff at the end of nowhere!

I also visited a penguin collony...it doesn´t matter how many you´ve seen before, they are still cute every time!
