After almost 20 hours of flying (stopping in Melbourne and Los Angeles) I finally made it to Toronto. My emotions were all askew having had an emotional departure from my boyfriend Peter. There was lots of crying, which might not have been so bad if it werent for that the early morning flight to Melbourne was full of business men who were trying desperately not to stare! Lisa had told me that she would be a little late to pick me up, but thankfully to my emotional confusion and exhaustion from flying the hour until she arrived didnt seem like anytime at all. It was nice to see her, but all thoughts were on the 2 hour drive back to Palmerston and how on earth to get back to the highway.

Any fears I had about us having changed too much to get along quickly left me as in the first couple of days we slipped easily back into the great friendship we shared in Brasil. In the last couple of weeks we have spent many hours talking, playing our own tennis court version of badmington and taking her husky KC for a walk. It has been lovely and I am already dreading have to leave her.
