Ok i thought palolem deserved another entry as we will have been here for ten days by the time we leave!

Mostly it's been very chilled out and relaxing, lazing around in cafes, lazing around in my hammock but also there was the fun of getting a train ticket, booking in at the intercontinental hotel and dealing with ben being right!

apparently its my screaming that freaks him out most - not the spiders

the hotel was a nightmare as we got a rickshaw there - i think we gave the gatesman a shock as he came to shoo away this broken down old rickshaw away only to see two scruffy backpackers looking for a room!- and booked it with this trainee Shwetha for the 29th and then when i rang to change it to the 28th the next day there was no booking!!! we ha to go to the hotel again and go through the same pocess with someone else, Shwetha was apparently on holiday for two weeks! lucky for her

and the train was a nightmare as it took us three days to get a ticket - we have deiced to go direct from the nearest staion here (Margao) to Delhi

day 1

we were told we could book this from an even nearer station (but a local one) Canacona which is ten minutes away, on arriving at Canacona we were told we could only book as far as Mumbai and had to go to Margao to book for Delhi

day 2

we took the local bus for an hour and a half into Margao went to the train station to book our tickets and after being told all the ones we wanted were full for weeks we were then found a ticket for the 6th june, much later than we wanted to go but we figured we'd better book it otherwise we'd have to fly, she asked for our passports which we had cleverly left behind! she also said we might be able to get an earlier ticket from another station vasco de gama which was 30 mins on the train from Margao

it's a bit blurred but it's the best picture we could get of gekbo our gekko

day 3

we got the bus to Margao again then a rickshaw to the train station and then waited an hour and a half for a train to vasco de gama (ben had said we should get another bus, i overruled him, he was right), went to the reservations desk waited in a queue of only four people for the best part of an hour but got tickets for the 1st June! needless to say we took the bus back!

anyway thats all sorted now so we can relax for a while!

there have been a lot less games recently as we met an austrailian couple Tim and Traci together with Carol (tim's mum) who stopped for a holiday on her way to england and Emily (an english girl they picked up along the way!)

tim out-talked me with ease which i know will shock many of you!

they're heading north aswell so we may see them soon

apart from that we had ANOTHER big spider in the room, ben made me hide in the bathroom while he shooed it out because apparently its my screaming that freaks him out most - not the spiders

right we're off for lunch and im going to start getting ridiculously overexcited about my birthday at the Goa Intercontinental!

xx

Beach Wonder, so two horendous spider experiences already! blimey have been wondering, although had a similar spider scare myself in Derby this weekend (alright it was probably smaller in fact it might have been a daddy long legs!)! Glad Ben seems to be dealing with things well! It all looks gorgeous and wonderful, I'm pleased you guys are having such a wonderful time! Thinking of you both, loads of love Kate and Fabrice xxx
