Just had a not so tasty dinner. But I'm here for the matcha latte so it's okay. This is like my favourite place in Tokyo. I always try to come here for the mattcha latte when I'm around this area.

So, after 8 hours of travelling, mainly sitting in the train, I’ve finally reached Tokyo. Safely. Now, I’m just killing the time till it’s time for my train for Takamatsu.

I’m having a slight headache. My pills are in my backpack which is in a locker (#127) in Tokyo Station. The one near the toilets, near the curry shop. I finally had the curry at that shop. The one behind the escalator for the Chuo Line. お味は?So-so. I had katsu-curry. The curry wasn’t spicy at all. But then, this is Japanese curry. They were thoughtful enough to provide the hot spicy oil. It makes it hot, but the taste is not the same as real spicy curry.

Taking the Chuo Line, I reached Shinjuku. I think I’ve kind of figured out Tokyo Station. But Shinjuku Station is something else. And I managed to get myself lost. In the end, I only managed to get my bearings when I got out of the station. Went to the Christian bookstore to buy the CD by Matsumoto Yuuka. And then, took the Saikyo line back to Tokyo Station.

Everytime I come to Tokyo, I have a different feeling about the place. I remember my first time here, I didn’t like it at all. Too crowded and messy. That was after the tranquility of Niigata. I thought that it would be a good place to visit, but I won’t want to stay here.

Later, as I came more often, I thought differently. I guess that was after the boredom in the countryside that is Niigata. At least there are more happening places here. Things to do. At the very least, shops to visit.

Today, on the Saikyo Line here, I felt again that I don’t think I’d like living here. Yes, I’d prefer living in the city, but this place has too many people. The train was crowded, especially the Saikyo Line. I wonder if that’s the reason for my headache.

In any case, I doubt I’ll come and live and work in Japan again. I’m too old for that. I feel like I need to start thinking of my future in more concrete terms.
