OK, well as promised here are some photos of the 120 square feet that we proudly occupy.  The room itself isn't great, but it will do for now.  We are a ten minute walk from Kensington Palace (where Princess Diana lived) and High Street Kensington which is one of the best shopping districts in the city.

We are sharing the flat with two guys, an East Indian and an Italian.  They are both nice enough guys, but it is going to take me some time getting used to having roommates...I've never had to before.

Our street is on a street just like the ones that we grew up on, except that it is 7 stories above street level
The room is barely big enough for the bed - welcome to life in central London.

Chesterton Square, which is where we live, is on a street just like the ones that we lived on in Calgary, except that it is 7 stories above street level.  It is actually on the roof of a commercial building that is used for the Kensington and Chelsea City Hall.  Needless to say there are no cars on the roof, but there are houses full of families and then flats above those that people rent.  We are actually in a house, but because there are three large-ish bedrooms there isn't a whole lot of space to live in.  No one has a backyard but there is a courtyard in the middle with green space and a playground for the kids.

The flat is equipped with satellite TV and the worst dial up internet I have ever experienced in my life, but at least it allows us to stay in touch with the real world.  It still doesn't feel like we are living in the real world - it feels like a really long holiday.

Last night we saw The Producers, Patrick's first time ever attending the theater, and it was fantastic.  I can see why this show has won so many awards, it is funny, fun and lively.  Pat at one point had tears streaming down his face because he was laughing so hard.  I recommend this show to everyone, no matter what city you can catch it in, this is a must see.

Patrick is working tonight, as per usual, but I am hoping to catch up with a girlfriend of mine that lives in Essex. Hopefully we can touch base because I really want to go out tonight.
