We set off early for three days trekking the 'Tiger Leaping Gorge', which is one of the worlds deepest river canyons. The scenery is outstanding as you ascend up the 28 bends to the highest view points at around 2400mtrs.

There's two paths that you can walk the high path and the treacherous low path which is riddled with rock slides during the wet season. Unfortunately we witnessed a huge landslide, which killed a local man and injured 3 others during our trek.

We spent two nights on the trail, staying at halfway guest house that Michael Palin had stayed in and is probably one of the best toilet views in the world. The next night we stayed at Sean's Guest house where you could get happy pizza, happy tea or anything else you would like to be laced with happiness.

From there we did an afternoon trek down to the gorge which was pretty dangerous as the rains had increased the chances of landslides. We were heading to the infamous rock where once a tiger leapt to escape a hunter and leapt the gorge. However we ended up running out of time as it was getting dark and the only way out of the bottom of the gorge was either a slipery 25ft vertical ladder or a steep ascend where the signs said 'move quickly falling rocks'. This was followed by a further tough climb up to the road. needless to say everyone was completely knackered and glad to have made it back to Sean's for dinner and beers!!!
