The Acropolis... PFFFF it's ONLY 2500 years old

Well we heard that there wasnt really too much to see or do in Athens and that it pretty much the dirtiest city but we couldnt wait to get here for that exact reason after our binges in Corfue! Oh and one more thing... remember Jesse from the Pink Palace ahhaah we just couldnt shake this guy!!! He decided he was going to join us to Athens before meeting up with his cousin and friend!! what a guy!

Well we got here on the bus and fortunately the Pink Palace bus dropped us right off at a hostel that had vacency so finding a bed to sleep in for the night was absolutly no problem at all for Ras and I.  We were only planning on being for one day though before heading off to island hop starting in Mykanos, so no matter how tired we were we had a task and hand and we needed to complete it!  The task was seeing a few of the parts of Ancient Greece that we had been talking about our entire trip!  Mostly though just the Acropolis.  So we hopped on the metro and headed right out there in the blistering 45 degree weather which was opon us at 1:00 in the afternoon.  We found the place no problem though which was nice cause I mean it a massive ruin on top on one of the highest points in Athens.  Once we got inside though we realised why we were in for one heck of a long day... I dont know how it's humanly possible but somehow there is literally NO FREAKING SHADE in the entire acropolis!!! haha but we managed to hike all the way up to the top and check it out and this baby didnt dissapoint one bit.  Most of it is like I said in ruins so there isnt too too too much of it remaining other than just pieces of what they've managed to excavate of the 2500 year old area.  But still just standing there the view is absolutly UNREAL of Athens and you can just imagine how huge it would have been and the amount of man power it would have taken to make this thing... especially 2500 years ago!!!!  We couldnt handle the dun for too long though so we decided it was time to just hang back and mellow up.. plus we were exausted cause we hadn't got much sleep.  But not before one more insane surprise... thats right we managed to run into a couple of our friends from the Pink Palace... in the Acropolis.... INSANE!!!  really cool though cause they accomplanied us all the way to the ancient olympic stadium.  After we found a travel agency and booked our Ferry tickets to Mykanos but cause it right in peak season we were unable to leave until sunday so now we were stuck in Athens for another night... which was okay cause now I've been able to update the travel blog!! WOO WOO. Finally to end our ecursion  we found some good old food which was quite possibly the best meal Ive ever eaten in my entire life...  the worst part is its nothing you would expect.  Thats right we stopped off at a good old Subway and seriously enjoy the best sandwich I've ever had in my entire life.  I dont know where these vegetables came from but it couldnt have been anything short of heaven!!  After that it was already near 7:00pm so we bid our pink palace friends farwell and good luck and headed back to the hostel.  The night was really mellow which was just what we needed we had a couple beers just to put is to sleep and headed to bed!

The next day (today) has proven to have been a little bit of an unsettling day for me though and cause this is a blog I'm going to share this unfortuneate news with you guys.  Well we woke up like any average day (past check out and packed our bags and rushed downstairs (begging to let the let us stay another night caue we were stranded.. and they did, which was cool) but then it happened ras figures hey dude I'm just going to check my bank and see how my accounts looking... DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNN  AND now this is when the tragedy takes place.  He comes upstairs to our new room where Im reading and looks and he and says the most evil words Ive ever heard in my entire life... and I quote "Dude, I dont have enough money to make it to the Greek island.  I think I'm going to have to head back to Denmark and start working, sorry man" AHHH GOD... IM ABSOLUTLY GUTTED!!!!  So we look up the train schedule and chekc planes and everything and we figured the train is the best way.  So now I've just finished walked my best travelling buddy ever down to the train station and watched him get on the train to Denmark........ :(    Thats right people you read it write here "Ras and Adam's Excellent Adventure is offically over" it's just me myself and I now to finish off the last 23 days of my trip :(!!!  God I Don't know how I'm going to make it without that crazy kid... Its going to be alot different from now on.  Hopefully he makes it home alright. You should have seen the schedule he had planned out its like 4 days straight of Travelling... I'm sure He'll have an epic adventure posted on here at the end of that.  But yeah like I said no more Radam and Assmosse... its just Adam now :( Gosh I Crushed!!!!

Anwyays I'm sure the rest of the trip will be amazing anyways and I'll keep trying to update this guy by myself!!!
