Our final island is Brac, one of country’s least populated islands famous for the stone that built Diocletian’s place. We stop off at Croatia’s most famous and most photographed beach Zlati Rat (Golden Cape) for a swim. Our boat is the first one there, but other boats and junkers soon join us. Kim, Julie and I take the kayaks into shore. The beach is pebbled and very crowded.
We stop off in another cove and practice diving. Tatiana and Yubo are excellent divers. Tatiana just can’t quite master it and actually breaks blood vessels on her thigh.

That evening we dock in Milna, the birthplace of tennis star Goran Ivanisevic. There is a fantastic sunset followed by a summer storm.
