Quedlinburg is a circular medieval town dominated by a fabulous castle and a the oldest Christian Church north of the Alps.  While it took us forever to find our hotel, the town was deinitely a worthwhile visit.  We went around and around and around and around, finally finding Hotel Ludde Brau. We checked in, had some Ludde Brau, walked around, and had some MORE Ludde Brau. There are thousands (maybe 1500+ half timbered houses, up and down medieval lanes that make your imagination wander.. Our trip to Quedlinburg finished up the morning and afternoon on July 6. We wandered the streets of half timbered houses, and visited a museum that showed us how they were built. Then we wandered up to the old old town Cathedral, built for the first King of Germany, and then had a great lunch over looking Quedlinburg, where we discovered Pfifferlinge. And we had more beer. More on Pfifferlinge, later… On to Dresden!

MORE Ludde Brau
