So after our hangover cure breakfast we straightened ourselves up and headed on the MTR (their underground system) to Mong Kok.
We hit ladies market and shopped for england!!! The chinese sellers seemed to lack communication skills as they simply shouted 'missy missy' at us, trust us, thats NOT the way to get our attention! However we were never going to get into an argument about manners with someone who spoke small amounts of english.... or so they had us believe!!! We had to quickly acquire bartering skills as they will try their best to rip you off! We discovered the best way was to tell them a really low price and if they wouldn't take it...... just walk away! Guarenteed within 3 seconds they would run after you 'missy missy' ........and what do you know, thex were willing to drop the price!

The wierdest part of the experience (well at least for becky) as Sarah seemed to have had a previous experience with daddy dayus when she had not been so fortunate as to have anyone with her, was that they would hard sell fake handbags with none in sight. If they negotiated reasonably and we were interested we had to be escorted off the market to a secret room, some were simply above shops, others were actually in apartment buildings with high security systems in place (as in like 4 locked iron bar doors to get in!) Sarah explained that this was because it was illegal for them to have them on the market as they are such good knock offs of the real thing! The first one we went to, becky looked slightly worried when entering a tiny lift with someone who was a relative stranger and it was at this point sarah recalled her own such encounter when she had had to do the same thing by herself!!!! MAD totally MAD!!! Anyway, long story short......well so to speak becky got a chloe and sarah a dior handbag.
After so much hard bargaining we were really rather peckinsh so we went to a pizza place called "The californian pizza company" and everyone there seemed to be sharing pizza's but we were hungry so we ordered 2!!! We had a bbq chicken and a blt... i know that sounds wierd....and it was....but it was also nice, bacon, lettuce and tomato on a pizza actually works!!!!!! This was possibly the most edible meal we had during our stay in Hong Kong!!
After our fill, we wandered the market a little bit more and finally packed away our money and headed back to the hotel. We headed up to the exec lounge for a glass of champers and some nibbles....very civilised!!!
Not content with our day on ladies market we picked up some energy and headed to Temple St night market at Jordan. It was verz busy and humid so we had a quick look round and decided to leave before we got irritable! At this point we thought we might find a light bite, after our lunch success we thought we were on a bit of a roll......how wrong we were!!!! We wandered Jordan onlz to find restaurants that were on the street (literally) kitchens in what can only be described as rubble and your food in large tanks ready to be slaughtered for your meal! Enough to put anyone off their tea!!
In a last ditch attempt we went back to the area of our hotel onlz to find all restaurants were closed or massively pricey.....so we almost gave up hope when we spotted that big bright zellow 'M' and decided we'd struck lucky!!! I know its sad, but you've read the story, give us some credit!!!! BUT.... and you knew there was going to be one..... it was worse than the KFC!!!!!!! Enough said.
Well another eventful day done and dusted so off to bed with the knowledge that there would be no suffering tommorow morning!!!!!
