My first day in the US of A, we went on a day trip to Big Sur. The traffic was horrible since it was a long weekend (labor day weekend i think) but the view when we got to Big Sur was breathtaking.

I was surprised to find out that there was really nothing to do in Big Sur but to drive around the whole stretch of road with the view and take pictures.

On our way home, we passed by the 17-mile drive. We had to pay around $20, if i remember it right, to drive through the stretch. There I got to see golf courses, mansions, sea lions, the lone cypress tree and lots of scenic spots. It was quite tiring to go down the car and take pictures at every nice place so in the end I just ended up taking a picture from inside the car. :-)

Our last stop was at the tourist town of Monterey for dinner and cocktails. We ate at this nice bistro (too bad I forgot the name..but it was Bistro something hehe) and I remember loving the look and feel of the place. I loved the weather too since it was cold and windy, something we never get here in the Philippines.
