Yosemite National Park & Bass Lake

Had to leave Vegas very early, as was a long drive to the place we would be staying for the next 2 nights which was called Bass Lake and would be staying there en route to San Francisco so we could visit Yosemite. Anyway after spending most of the day in the coach finally arrived at Bass Lake at about 5 or 6. In the evening we had bit of a pizza night so some of the guys were nominated to have the party in their chalet. The chalet's were nice with about 4  people or so staying in each. Was quite a low key evening but nice as pretty relaxed after the long journey and I always love Pizza! The following morning we went to Yosemite which wasn't too far in terms of distance but still took us a fair while as the roads were very windy! Yosemite was cold but very beautiful! Neither Laurel or I fancied a major hike after the Grand Canyon so just went on a few short walks around such as to the Yosmite Falls but due to the time of year not all that much water so a bit of a shame! Enjoyed exploring the area but as was feeling so tired also took use of the time just to sort out a few things for the rest of the trip and made some called and took time over lunch etc! Was a bit of shame in away that didn't do more hiking there as would have seen more that way but still really liked what I saw was just too tired to do more! Still Laurel and I had nice chat and things so did enjoy my time there even though could have put it to better use!

In the afternoon we drove back to Bass Lake and had some time there, which was nice as was a really pretty area. The second evening spent in Bass Lake was a disaster really! We were meant to get a really nice dinner and have a nice relaxed evening but I had what I thought would be a few drinks before dinner and went rapidly downhill from there! Suffice to say I don't remember much of the evening as must have drunk far more than I realised!  Bass Lake and Yosemite were both beautiful places, I wish I had made more of my time there but was still glad to have visited them!
