Trekking in national parks

Ushuaia, which claims itself the world´s southern-most city, is a nice hilly city. Surrounded by snow-cappped mountains and sea, it is tranquil and relax. People here are nice.

I go to Glaciar Martial. It takes me about two and half hours to go and return. The landscape is scenic and the weather is good to trek (in the fall) I do not go up to the cave in the middle of the glacier. It´s not a hard trek but I am not as physically fit as before. And most importantly, I am wearing sandles, which makes it dangerous to trek on ice. My hiking boots are being repaired in a shop. I have to do more exercises for the coming treks in South America.

The next day I go to Parque Nacional de Fuego. I take the earliest bus (9:00am) and trek route no 2. Tenents in youth hostel tell me that views when doing no 4 is spectacular but it is a steep uphill trek. I just want to have some relax hike, so I do not do no 4. No 2 is a coastal route with beautiful bays, islands, mountains in distance and forests. I do not meet other tourists most of the times, exploring the area by myself. It´s save to travel alone here.

Make my dinner in youth hostel for couple days. I buy spaghetti, beef, vegetables, onions and garlics. Even though I cook half pack of spaghetti, when mixing with other ingredients, it is too much for me. Everynight, there are staff or tenants here who haven´t had their proper dinners. I am glad they are willing to take the remaining spaghetti and say it tastes good (I think they are honest :) ) Sometimes I needed to cook back in HK, so I don´t have problem on it with accetable taste.

I have a relax break here in Ushuaia. I like this city.
