So I'm living with a host family family in Neepawa, Manitoba. My family consists of a mother and father both around 40 who have a daughter that moved out not to long ago, and a billion animals. Like really. In the house we have 6 cats (4 are kittens) all of which I'm allergic to. There is also a chinchilla and hampster in the house. Now let's talk about outside. So there are 6 goats, 3 calves, 2 cows, a billion cats and kittens, loads of chickens, some roosters, some pigeons (baby ones too) and a bunch of ducks and 2 dogs. I'm likely forgetting a specie of animals we've got but its all good. So living with the famikly has been interesting. There are a few challenges but I think once we get into a routine things will get easier. Sooo the group. We have been meeting during the days for the past few days (wow it feels like ive been here alot longer than 4 days), but soon we will be starting our work placements, community days, educational activity days and whatever else is planned. Umm.. so we toured the work placements yesterday and today and ranked our choices - Monday we find out what we get. My top 3 are working for the town, working at the elementry school, and working for the local access TV station. Im not sure what else to say but I'll update this as often as I can, and maybe next time I'll talk a little more about the town and the neat things here liek the amazing organic bakery!!!
