We arrived in Pecs in the evening, with no clue as to where to sleep. Well, we did have the Lonely Planet clue, which pointed us in the direction of the dormitory hostel.. which was full! But we found an APARTMENT for less than 20€ each! Whoa! So we had a sort of kitchenette so we went to a grocey store and finally got to cook-in a manner of speaking ... we had mr.noodles! But a kettle is a little limiting!

In Pecs is a really cool church which was built as a mosque, so it is very round and domey and probably very mathematicaly. It has one of the most amazing Pipe Organs I have ever seen, spanning a whole wall and it sounds incredible, even from the outside (we didnt go in while it was playing- its our rule not to go into any church while a service is going on... even when there are people in there taking pictures of worshippers...tacky), and there are cool paintings on the ceiling.

So all day we walked all over the old town, seeing the mosque-church and the cathedral which has a crypt from the 4th century and free wine tastings at what was once the bishops wine cellar (for communion purposes only I am sure...). Scott took a midday nap at our 2nd hotel (first was only for a night) and I walked some more, perusing all the stores...especially book stores. By the way, Did you know that "The Adventures of Sinbad the sailor" Was written by a hungarian? I didnt but when I found out I tried to find a copy but the only one I saw was priced ridiculously high in the the "Hungarian books for tourists" section- so I bought a Jules Verne instead... I will get sinbad later!

For dinner we went to a cheap pizza place but before we ordered we realized that the music they were playing was crapola so we got it to go and ate it in the hotel room and were just tired and relaxed. Sometimes you just gotta do that!

P.S. I am pretty sure Scott ate a peach while we were there so the title does sort of make sense...
